En Route! Or, 在 途 中 !

Here we go! I’m sitting in the Toronto airport enjoying a Tim Horton’s coffee and cinnamon raisin bagel  what a great way to start this trip!

I am so excited.  I’m also very nervous…

And grateful that I’m going with a group of people that are just as excited and anxious as I am.  It seems that BRS is going to take really good care of us, keeping us informed about our surroundings and planning trips to help us optimize our stay here – I’m so glad to have this resource for this adventure.  This week has been difficult, trying to get my portfolio stuff together before finishing my student teaching, saying goodbyes, and simply getting everything packed.  I’ve packed for this length of time before, and longer, and I know that I’m going to have access to purchase anything that I’ve forgotten, but it was still stressful.  I hope I have everything I need to get my portfolio done…

It’s snowing in Toronto!

There isn’t much to talk about yet, but I’ll be updating daily (hopefully!) with events, Chinese school adventures, and all the crazy food and drinks I’ll be trying.  If you want a post card from Beijing, e-mail me your address and I’ll see what I can do!  If you have any suggestions for food to try or places to visit, PLEASE leave them in the comments section  I don’t want to miss out on anything!
